XEOMIN
Xeomin is a brand of botulinum toxin type A, similar to Botox and Dysport. Like these other products, Xeomin works by blocking the release of acetylcholine, a chemical messenger that stimulates muscle contractions. When injected into the muscle, Xeomin prevents the muscle from contracting, causing it to temporarily relax.
Once the muscle is relaxed, the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines is reduced, particularly in the areas between the eyebrows, on the forehead, and around the eyes. The effects of Xeomin typically become noticeable within a few days of the injection and can last for up to three to six months, depending on the individual.
One of the unique features of Xeomin is that it is a “naked” form of botulinum toxin, meaning that it does not contain any additives or proteins. This can reduce the risk of an allergic reaction or resistance to the treatment. Additionally, Xeomin may be less likely to cause antibodies to form in the body, which can reduce the effectiveness of future treatments.
It’s important to note that Xeomin should only be administered by a licensed medical professional and that the dosage and frequency of injections should be tailored to each individual’s needs.

BOTOX
Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA) is a cosmetic treatment that involves injecting a neurotoxin called botulinum toxin into the muscles of the face or other areas of the body to temporarily paralyze them. The most well-known benefit of Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA) is its ability to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, particularly around the eyes and forehead.
However, Botox has other potential benefits as well. For example, it can be used to treat medical conditions such as chronic migraines, muscle spasms, excessive sweating, and overactive bladder. Botox injections can also be used to help with facial symmetry, jaw clenching or teeth grinding, and even depression.
At ProCare Health & Aesthetics we primarily use it for aesthetics, typically to reduce frown lines in the forehead and between the eyebrows. We also treat lines around the eyes called crows feet. We also can use Xeomin to reduce developing lines around the lips and chin region as well.
